Some activities might have been seen in some areas in countryside, but they are the charming of lifestyle of countryside which you can not found in the big city.
In every morning, people in countryside will prepare the food for dedicating the monk. It is normal activity which make them feel happy before starting working. The monk will work around the village in early morning. When people dedicate the food to the monk, the monk will bless in return.

Then, it time to start working. The young people go to their farm. The elder might stay home and make some basketwork. Some people make them for sale, but some people make them for their home.

This week in Thailand is Songkarn feastival or water flight festival. Songkarn is a popular festival which attracts many travelers from over the world to join this fun festival. People may splash the water to each other. However, do you know why it is important for Thai people? If you never know, let's learn together...

The word "Songkran" comes from Sanskrit which means that stepping up the grill or on the move, moving. In the other words means into a new era for Aries or New Year's Day. The Songkran festival is an old tradition of Thailand inherited from the ancient tradition with Chinese New Year. It is collectively "Songkran New Year Festival," which refers to the traditional New Year's Eve and welcome to New Year.

The Songkran holidays are divided into three days.

           - On April 13, called Maha Songkran Day and it is a National Elder Day
           - On April 14 called Wan Nao or Wan Da and it is family day
           - On April 15 the New Year Day

The first day of the festival is of 13th April is Maha Songkarn and National Elder Day. Thailand has an important tradition of paying respect to the elder call, “Rod Nam Dam Hau”. In this traditional, the young pour scented water over their elder’s hands, they in return, wish them good health, happiness and prosperity.

14 April is a family day or Wan Nhao day. Wan Nhao is the day when is not permitted to speak, talk, or say anything bad. People do not supposed to make any quarrel or talk rudely on this day. Otherwise they will face a bad luck for their whole new year. Also, today is " Wan Da" or " Da Day" or preparation day is the day people cook a kind of food and desserts, as well as prepare necessary things to bring to a temple in order to make a good merit. Later in the afternoon, people will go to the temple to participate in activity called, " Song Nam Phra ( sprinkle scented water onto a Buddha image and Monk)" and " Kon Sai Kao Wat". Kon Sai Kao Wat is tradition that people carry sand to pile it up in a field of the temple, meaning they return each grain of sand back to the temple from each time they visit the temple. It is a way to maintain a temple and call for an action for people participation.

Hello Bangkok!!!

Hello Bangkok,

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. There are many interesting places to visit. Most of the signature of Bangkok is temples, night market and food. In my blogs, I might tell you only some places that I really like to visit. Then!! Let's go!!

1. The signature of Bangkok is Wat Phra Keaw or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Wat Pra Keaw is the most important temple in Thailand which is located in center of Bangkok. The temple open at 8.30 am - 3.30 pm. You have to purchase the ticket before entry to the temple. The price is around 15$. However, there are a lot of people would like to visit Wat Phra Keaw, so if you want to avoiding crowed, you should visit there in week day. I would recommend you go there in the morning because it is very hot at noon.

2. Wat Saket or Saket temple. Wat Saket is not far from Wat Phra Keaw, so you can walk from Wat Phra Keaw to Wat Saket. The signature of Wat Saket is the gloden Mount. I like Wat Saket because it is very quiet and it's free. You also can see a apart of Bangkok in the top of the golden mount.

3. One of the most favorite temple in Bangkok is Wat Arun or Arun temple. Also, Wat Arun is my favorite temple in Bangkok. I really like to watch Wat Arun at night in the opposite side of the river. If you like to hang out at night, find some pub and restaurant near the river. You will see the most beautiful sunset view in Bangkok at Wat Arun. My favorite place call " The Deck by the river". It is pub and restaurant which locate at the hotel. Food is good, but you have to call for reservation because it always full.

Next... Night Market and Street market are coming soon!!! (^____^)
